  Nothing works even after registration - I tried signing out and back in. Does not work. Templates & other things all cost additional money.

  Summary

  What a waste of time. I expected for a free download things would be restricted but I didn't expect such a hassle. I registered but I still couldn't use anything. I just needed to do 1 simple flyer on this computer. Thought I'd see if it was better than Publisher. Definitely not. Couldn't even get an easy project competed. Probably one of the worst set ups I've encountered.

  Pros

  Goodbye MS publisher and MS office. I switched over to Kingsoft office and needed a publishing program. There's very few out there but Serif has what you need. They do have a window that asks you to buy the upgrade but that's not a problem. Anymore when you download a program you must take your time and un-check what you don't want like other tool bars etc. This program does it all no matter what you have to make.

  Pros

  The program appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. I designed my first poster and was thrilled with how easy it was.

  Cons

  Because my HP printer did not have the required "large font" driver (and after searching HP for it found it wasn't available for my printer), I was unable to print my "masterpiece". SO I have since uninstalled it.

  Summary

  If you do not own or have access to a new HP printer, don't bother.

  I can't even scratch the surface here. It out shines all other publishing programs. Full Word Processor Limited Photo Editor Can utilize external word processors and photo editors Pages can be completely customized Unlimited pages Publish to printer, press, or online to the web. Has a checker to check document for it's comparability to the selected publishing options. Reads and writes PDF files, including security features Easy to use.

  Cons

  In reading PDF files, the text boxes sometimes don't line up properly.

  Summary

  This is another one of Serif's programs that I have used for about 15 years. I have also used a few other publishing programs and this one has always been in a class above them, plus it is cheaper. Use it for publishing your next book, document, poster, flat or folded post card, or website. It can replace many of the programs that you may have on your computer. It has a great word processor which checks document for spelling and grammar. It also has a limited photo editing program. It can also utilize your favorite word processor or photo editing program. I wrote this review about a year ago and I still have not seen any programs that even approach program in quality. I've used MS-Publisher in the past, and it does not even come close to the features and ease of this program. It handles every pushing job that I can think of, including web page/site creation and publishing. One drawback is that each annual update is getting more expensive. (The download here looks like it might be a very old version. Serif comes out with a new version each year based on customer suggestions.)

  Summary

  I have the version you pay for and I have already made my money back times 20 doing designs for people such as Menus and ads. This program is so easy to use and there is pretty much no limit to what you can design. Will be purchasing there Webplus program next and upgrading to their Pageplus X6.
