Takes a bunch of pictures & lays them out in a grid.
Proofsheet is a Windows program that takes a bunch of pictures and lays them out in a grid, aka a proof sheet or contact sheet. It creates super high resolution proofsheets, around 300dpi, which is probably overkill and significantly slows the process down but what the hey, the results are good. The emphasis is on the output looking nice, as opposed to a super utilitarian contact sheet. It's trying to make something you might print out and put on your wall.
Simply R click the window choose add photos and open your photo folder and circle 16 photo or pick n choose 16 for an 8.5x11 sheet print out. I chose 4 rows by 4 colums, 400 DPI (choose any DPI you want). Put in my name on the Header and my name on the copyright footer, and added a little space on the left of the sheet to allow for hole punch for binder use and BAM! It printed out my photo sheet with boarders on the photos if i choose that and has an option to add a header of labeling the sheet as page 1 of 8 if i so desire. ALL FOR FREE! Thank you Echo Images for a really useful product that didnt ream me to use like some googled photo proof sheets i located online tried to do. It also makes a 36 photo ID sheet for CD/DVD case use.
Cons
None, it does exactly what i needed, photo id sheet with image and file name below, with my name and copyright.
Summary
Great product, no problems on my Windows 7, 64 bit PC
