Win eBay auctions by bidding in the final seconds.
Win eBay auctions with this advanced Auction Sniper eBay tool that bids for you in the final seconds of an auction. Simplifies eBay by allowing you to browse auctions with a built in Web browser, then simply press the Snipe button and the auction information will download to your online account and queue for sniping. Features include Bid Groups, which allow you to bid on similar items until you win an auction in a group, and Daily Auto Search which lets you create a search and then remote servers run the search daily and e-mail you the results. Supports all international and auto car auctions.
Zero support. Only once I got a reply to an email when I wrote the site was down, all other ten times, nothing. Now they charged my card for the second year but my account has not been renewed. Chargeback has been filed.
Summary
There are better solutions out there. Steer away from Powersnipe/Compupower.
Unable to contact - they will not cancel subscription!
tmazshopping
Pros
Has worked to win auctions in the past
Cons
No customer service
No way to contact the company
Continues to charge for services despite requests to cancel
No way to cancel subscription
Summary
Haven't used the service for some time and wanted to cancel subscription. Sent multiple requests to cancel account and to stop auto billing Paypal. They continued to bill my Paypal account and Paypal would not dispute the payment since it was through a 'previous agreement'. Did get Paypal to cancel the auto payment, but am still out the money for the subscription that I tried to cancel. Shady business practices and no customer service!!
Not reliable, non-existent support.

Pros
If/when it works, it works.
Cons
On random occasions, your bid is not submitted. Presumably due to internal reliability/volume issues. . . . . If you should try to reach them for any reason, you will neither get a response, nor an acknowledgment of your email. You are provided no contact telephone numbers. If they don't want to be reached, you will not reach them.

I am replacing this vendor with a more reliable, even minimally customer friendly vendor.

Great product!

Pros
I have saved more than the cost of the program in the first week. I like that the program can be installed on your computer or you can access your account via the internet.
Cons
It is not really a con, but you really don't need to install the program on your computer, its just as easy to view via the internet.
Summary
If you plan making purchases on eBay, I highly recommend PowerSnipe. I enjoy not having to sit at my computer counting down the seconds until the auction is over to see if i won. I just place my maximum bid and wait for an email from PowerSnipe letting me know whether i won the auction.
This little gem paid for itself in a few uses

Pros
It is rock-solid awesome. Its what I have been looking for, I just won 3 auctions today without any effort.
Cons
My technical problem is Happiness. I'm afraid that won too many auctions.
Summary
I will use it as long as I buy from eBay.
The software is dead

Pros
None, really
Cons
The software is not active anymore... but you still can pay. Great. I paid $45, Powersnipe doesn't work, no support, no answer to mails, no phone number.

Buyer Alert! Suspicious Terms Cheating Business - Avoid
TS22Ford
Pros
None, so I am canceling after one week trial, but they make it hard to cancel and refund!
Cons
Cheating business! Suspicious activities, and never reply emails. You can sign up by Paypal, but cancel through regular mail. Why do they pay Paypal fee and give you full refund? The catch is mail fraud as they can claim never receive your mail.
Summary
Definitely a suspicious company, and you want to hear my story here:
I singed up for a one month trial on Oct 9th, 2008, and one week later I decided to cancel. Then I found their 30 day money back guarantee is suspicious. You can sign up by Paypal, but cancel through regular mail. Why do they pay Paypal fee and give you full refund? The catch is mail fraud as they can claim never receive your mail. I sent them email requesting cancellation, and no reply after several days. So I decided to open a Paypal dispute with them to request refund, and still no reply. So I am still waiting here. I sent them a regular mail to request cancellation, and next week, I may have to file a complaint for mail fraud at Postal Service, as well as FTC and Minnesota State Attorney Office.
Anybody had similar situation, please share your story.
Bids dropped, no tech support, no response to questions, rip-off
greg griswold
Pros
Took my money, service worked ok during trial period, then dropped 3 important bid opportunities without any explanation, real poor service
Cons
During trial service, bids sniped ok, once 30 day refund period expired, my bids started dropping off without any explanation, wrote tech support multiple times, all of which resulted in zero response back, this company will take your money, but very irratic sniping, I am giving up on the rest of my full year's service as I can't afford to hit or miss getting my bids placed, ending up not only very expensive for snipes actually performed, but lost thousands of dollars on the items I would have easily have been the successful high bidder upon, if only this service had bothered to have placed my bids.
Summary
Beware, their service goes down at times. I lost three auctions in one day.
RotoRooterGuy
Pros
Easy to use. Reliable at times. Decent rates.
Cons
At times their service goes down and they don't tell you. You end up not getting a bid on the auctions you told PowerSnipe to bid on.

On October 30 and 31, 2006, they had some bogus announcement on the site that said there was compatibility problems with eBay, so we were to bid on our auctions manually [like the old days].

The service was down and still is down for the past 24 hours. I lost three good auctions during that time because I was working and not able to manually bid. They were good auctions too, so I lost out on about $300 in deals, on stuff that would have cost about $1000.

So PowerSnipe being down cost me a lot. I am canceling the service and looking elsewhere.

If they would have explained what the problem was, that would have prevented me from canceling, but to simply say there was a compatibility problem and nothing else, that is inexcusable.
