Pros
i can choose between gif and jpeg for my web-site. gif is better for text and my sheet music while jpeg is better for photos. perfect for uploading stuff to myspace.

Pros
I have been struggling with trying to get good JPEG's out of Acrobat. I've also tried copy/paste, etc. All I got were fuzzy, low resolution results. With pdf2image, I was amazed at the sharpness of even the low-res (72 dpi) web graphics. I was able to generate in a few seconds a 800x600 web file and a thumbnail as well as a 300 dpi version of the dpi for our printer to use in the newsletter. Definitely good stuff!
