Paymastr is a Windows stand alone payroll program, that now features built-in e-mail support. Paymastr is included in the full version of Delta60 Accounting Software, and is integrated with the General Ledger module. Within Paymastr you have the ability to manually update state and federal tax charts. Non taxable deductions such as 401k are input as a percent of the gross. Payroll summaries include: Current Payroll, Month, Quarter, and Year-to-date. Enter the hours worked as well as overtime, insurance, additional income, and other pay categories. The "additional income" field can be used if an employee is not hourly and/or is paid tips. Paymastr then calculates the withholding tax for federal, state, and Social Security plus Medicare based on exemptions claimed and marital status.

Simple to use, fun interface.

Summary
I just downloaded this software and it was very easy to figure it out. It has a fun "spaceship" menu interface option. I have only done one payslip on it and it works for me. Probably best suited for small businesses (like mine). I recommend you try it....especially since its free!!

The product seems not completely developed. The first thing that I noticed were the pictures for buttons. Pretty, but totally useless. The flow of the product is counter-intuitive. Only allows for hourly employees, not salaried.
