OPTIC Mobile app complements the Web application (www.theopticsystem.com) and there is no additional cost to use it - with the regular Client ID, User Name and Password used in the Web application. It operates on a subset of records downloaded from server to the mobile device, being a simplified version of the Web application. Custom forms (electronic forms) are supported as well - for all modules. Documents (PDF, Word, audio/MP3, video/MP4, pictures, etc.) can be downloaded on mobile devices for later viewing with default mobile device applications - even without Internet connection (offline mode). In a similar way, the records and custom (electronic) forms can be operated on while offline, with automatic or manual uploading to OPTIC server when Internet becomes available. Mobile app performance may be affected by the volume of data downloaded - which is adjustable from Settings, the app launching by default with a minimal amount of records downloaded from server. Custom forms (electronic forms), as well as changes made on them (updates), can be downloaded from server either manually from SYNC CENTRE or automatically.
