Editors' Review

This free, reliable program makes a fine choice for quickly creating thumbnails, though some users may miss support for batch mode. The interface isn't only nicely designed, it's also simple to use, with intuitive buttons and controls, and a large preview window. When creating thumbnails, you specify the size, style, and background color, and you also can choose whether to rotate certain shots or apply various masks. In addition, this application can watermark shots with either text or photos. This feature gives you a nice degree of control over how your watermark appears, letting you choose font size, style, and color; determine its exact placement; and set margins. Although this version of Media Resizer Free Thumbnail Creator won't cost you a cent, it can't resize files in batch mode as its more powerful brethren can. Still, if you're not working with massive amounts of images and have a little time to spare, there's plenty to like about this application.
