File encryption works well and is easy to use, and you can configure the program to manually delete the source file afterwards. The history killer cleans up after a variety of software, from Windows and Internet Explorer to Opera, Netscape, and Firefox. You'll find a tool for creating your own plug-in cleaner, although you'll need to be somewhat computer-savvy to use it. Nevertheless, the application already can clean up after numerous third-party apps, including popular IM and file-sharing clients.
Overall, the program's spyware-removal prowess fared better than it has in the past. Scans were mostly fast, and the app did a capable job of removing the majority of the spyware and malicious browser-helper objects we installed for testing purposes. While this program shouldn't be your only line of defense against adware, it makes an all-around attractive safety and privacy suite.
