Lockmydrive FreeLocker is a basic yet powerful file locker that protects any and all of your drives from intruders. It offers two different encryption styles and is ready to go in a matter of seconds. That makes it one of the best file lockers you can find for Windows.

This is technically a portable program, but it requires some setup on your main computer first. After that, you can drag the executable file on any drive you like. It will lock down the drive in about two seconds, no matter how many files are on it. Anyone who tries to break in has to enter the password or deal with not seeing anything on the drive whatsoever. Lockmydrive FreeLocker gives you two modes of encryption -- "Strong" and "Fast" -- but they aren't labeled with a specific encryption style, so it's tough to know what makes them different. The program tacks on an extra 2GB of storage, which is a nice add-on. It doesn't compete with dedicated online storage options, but it's hard to complain about extra free storage.

There's a lot to like about this program, for sure. It locks your drive quickly and effectively and gives you a couple of neat add-ons that you'll like. If you're concerned about your file's security, Lockmydrive FreeLocker is a great download, especially if you've got a USB drive full of sensitive data.

Not Free, why call it Freelocker?

Pros
It locks the USB and unlocks it, no problem there.
Cons
You can only use it 5 times before you have to register and pay an exorbitant amount for the privilege of using it.
Summary
Don`t know why they call it Freelocker, maybe to get you sucked in. You are better off buying a USB stick with a lock on it already for less than they ask for the use of their program. I bought a 16gb stick for 8 bucks from office works with encryption lock included.

After installing this program, it simply disappeared. No icon on my desktop nor listing on my start programs menus. I tried finding it on my uninstaller list but it wasn't there either (warning: it apparently has no uninstaller). I got lucky and went to program files and messed around and got it to show so I could drag an icon onto my desktop. Finally I got it to open, and I tried to "create an account." When that was done (with my chosen password) I tried to get it to lock my C disk (it also tried to have my A disk listed, which I never use). Then I tried to enter my password and click to "Hide". It wouldn't take my password to lock because it wanted me to buy it. I noticed I had 13 days left to buy it. This is a trial-to-buy program. Now I am left with a program I can't access or use, and I bet it's going to be a nightmare to uninstall. What a huge disappointment.

I can't believe so many things fit in a size under 5mb. Incredible... It's not so difficult to use with some basic pc knowledge.

Price could be just a little lower, otherwise a great program

Pros
I like the most that it doesn't require installation because I run a medium sized firm and I can not allow any security risks.
Cons
Trial could be a bit longer cause 25$ is not a small amount of money for most of people that buy the product for use at home.
Summary
Program so good that I can even use at my firm with no fear of system failure and malicious software.

Pros
As a software developer, I think my word means something when I say that this software is great in almost any aspect. I especially like the fact that it doesn't require installation or internet access so chance that it has viruses is a solid ZERO!
Cons
That many features can confuse some people that don't know what they're doing.
Summary
A product that combines all that people need and want from a program and there's no chance you will get a virus or trojan with it.

Pros
I have to say it's ease of use and the number of features are the best things about this program. I didn't mind paying 25 bucks for it.
Cons
It sometimes lags at startup, though i'm not sure if it's because the program or because my old computer.
Summary
Nice piece of software which offers a lot and it's easy to use at the same time.

Pros
It offers a lot for such a small price, and you get the trial so you can see if you like it before buying. And you are safe even after buying due to 30 days money back policy.
Cons
It's very hard to name even one con, but if I really have to, I'd say mediocre comissions for affiliates. Which has nothing to do with the product itself.
