Installer Vise helps shareware authors and other software developers create installation programs for the distribution of software. Though the program is configured for the novice developer, it's powerful enough to be compatible with commercial products from large software companies. This fully functional demo will walk you through the process of creating an installer. With it, you can create custom install locations, which can then be selected directly from the Install To pop-up menu. Programmers can also now take advantage of Active Install, the Web installation technology used to deliver Internet Explorer 4.0.

Installer Vise can also deliver software over the Internet - customers can download a small installer with the ability to download just the software pieces they desire. The program can also build standalone updater applications, as well as updaters for inclusion within an installer. In addition, languages supported by the built installer can be set per build destination. You can also set Installer Vise to import and merge other resources into a localization file.

Look at the liscence for this product. You have to provide them with 3 copies of any product that you create with this program. Also, it costs $695 to buy, or $295 for "renewal". Inno setup, which I use, is far better for two reasons. 1. No wierd liscence where you have to send them your software. 2. It's free. I don't understand why anyone would give this product a thumbs up, since it is clearly not worth $695. And they make it hard to download. You have to fill out your name, company, how you found the product, etc. The link here doesn't seem to work.

A very costly installer, But worth it! The amount of features is amazing. The good thing is Freeware & Shareware developers can register it for a special free license and a remarkable packager for making setups, The one Napster used! Download it and use the serials in the other comment to unlock it.
