Used Horizon33 for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Horizon33 is a simple screen-capture utility that gives users extra control over exactly what their screenshots include, and also makes it easy to store or share images. It's not as full-featured as some other programs we've seen, but it's a good choice if you're looking for more features than the built-in Windows screen-capture utility offers.
The program appears as an icon in the Windows system tray, and clicking on it brings up a simple interface in which users can configure Horizon33's features. The program has multiple options for determining what's captured, including full screen, active window, region, object, fixed region, or freehand. Once we'd selected the desired mode, we clicked the Capture button on the interface, and the program captured our desired area or allowed us to select it for ourselves, depending on the mode we'd selected. Horizon33 can do plenty with your screen captures, too, including saving them, opening with a chosen application, copying them to the clipboard, emailing them, opening them in Microsoft Office, and even automatically uploading them to ImageShack. The program can also convert images to grayscale, invert or resize them, and add a watermark. There's no Help file, but Horizon33 is easy enough to use that this isn't a huge drawback. Overall, while Horizon33 wasn't the most impressive screen-capture utility we've encountered, it gets high marks for being easy to use and packing some truly useful features.
Horizon33 installs a desktop icon without asking but uninstalls cleanly.
