HP products are junk and support is terrible

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Absolute rubbish. A throw away piece of software for a throw away product. Pay 250 UK pounds only to find out the product is not supported properly three years later. I know things have a short shelf life nowadays, but keeping up with OS developments for a few years would be a minimum requirement surely for any product. No support for Airport Express either.
Works on Panther!!!

The new drivers work very nicely with MacOS X Panther. The installation, for me, worked without any trouble and I regained all the printing options I had lost when moving to Panther! The HP Director is now embedded in the dock and works very good too. If you didn't want to update to Panther because you'd lose the use of your PSC all in one, now is the time to do it!

Slow installing

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />It took a loooong time to install, even had to call HP support. But it finally did after several tries. However, I have a Cube with 10.2.8 and a G4 tower with 10.3.2 connected through a router and now the Cube will not print on Appleworks or TextEdit and it did just fine with 4.7.5 version. Now those 2 apps just "quit unexpectedly" when I try to print. I'd go back to 4.7.5, but the guy at HP said that this version- 6.3.4- is definitely what I want for Panther. So now my husband gets stuck without printing privileges. But the look is definitely different and does a nice job for me. Totally different feel though. But as I said it took a very long time to install with the beach ball going on through our lunch! I'd think twice about installing it if everything works fine with other version. Connie
