geswall is simply perfect

had geswall over 1 year it has never let me down,nothing has got on my pc ever.if you get some kind of bug it cant run just sits there dead and when you do a scan with a virus checker it finds it and says disabled and cleans out the bits of dead rubbish ,cool. check you tube people throw up to 20 virus at it in one go and nothing gets through

none just remember to right click and label as trusted after avast scan of course,so that your downloads will work.also upgrade any browser with it switched off cos it wont take.
Summary
i think geswall is perfect and more effective than traditional anti virus apps also seems to work with most apps with no problems,although i do have a problem with google chrome.

Pros
NO "pro;s". Almost crashed my system. I am no IT wizard, but never had issues installing software before - NEVER! When I went to restart after install, I got the black screen of death. Fortunately I was able to get in safe mode and delete GeSwall.

TOTALLY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CNET should provide 0 stars. I guess it gets my forced one star for not totally locking my computer up???
Summary
GeSwall sucks to high heaven! See my "pros". User Beware! If it almost crashed my system on install. I'd hate to see it in action. Very bizarre behavior, considering I have never had issues installing software. I have installed dozens of software and NEVER, not once, had an issue with installation.

with GeSwall i dont need so many security apps any more just give me Avast and a cookie scanner and im set, it isolates everything on the internet so it cant affect your computer and nothing can make changes,

Summary
if its a program you know is safe just take it out of isolation my computer will never be without this again now that i know about it, this can keep your computer safer than any antivirus can just be careful what you take out of isolation and you wont have to worry about virus anymore

It asks about blocking the browsers and then doesn't block anything else.
Summary
It just wasn't well thought out or programed.
This security app is underrated (Its not a firewall).

Pros
Isolates applications (can be set to auto-isolation). Is compatible with Sandboxie. Downloaded files are untrusted (right click context menu option to trust them). Set and forget.
Cons
Ugly icons both on the desktop and tray (doesn't matter when its a good security app). A bit hard to understand at first glance but the help file makes it clear.
Summary
I've had this one for 3 days and it has prevented attacks 116 times, restricted operations 303 times and isolated 36 applications. This is a good one and its free!

HIPS protection is one of the best defenses, shriyaraj obviously thinks this is a firewall, it is not.

It can be a little difficult to understand
