Free, yes. Easy, yes. Satisfactory, no. Free Easy PDF is a simple but fatally crippled text editor that can save documents in PDF format. It supports essential formatting features such as fonts, bullets, highlighted text, and tables. In addition, you can insert images (BMP only), bookmarks (which you can't name), and hyperlinks to bookmarks. However, despite its supposed freeware price, the program watermarks its PDFs. That makes it no more valuable than Windows' built-in WordPad, and probably less so, given that it can't save documents in text, RTF, or any format besides its proprietary Easy PDF Project. Only its polished, Word-like interface saves it from a lower rating. Since you almost certainly have a better word processor already, we'd recommend installing a separate freeware utility to convert documents to PDF. It's almost as easy, and just as free.
