You've always been able to access eBay with your Android device's Web browser, but eBay Mobile makes it easier and safer than ever to manage your bids, auctions, purchases, and more. You can search for items, place bids, and do anything you can do on eBay with eBay Mobile. The descriptions, data, and links are the same, and the thumbnails open high-resolution images that you can scroll and zoom.

We opened eBay Mobile and entered our user name and password. The app displayed a slimmed-down home page with a search field, shopping cart, and Recently Viewed Items in scrolling thumbnails. Three large blue buttons accessed My eBay, Categories, and Sell an Item; beneath we could open Reminders, Messages, Saved Searches, and more, including eBay Motors and PayPal. We tapped "My eBay" and were pleased to see our active Watching, Buying, and Selling lists. As it happened, we needed to leave feedback for a recent purchase. The process is more or less the same as with the Web page. We then logged in to eBay on our desktop PC to verify that, yes, feedback had been posted. Searching for items proved equally easy with eBay Mobile. We could start with Categories or just enter a search term and click "Categories" in the results to narrow search results.

You've always been able to receive eBay e-mail notifications on your Android device, too, but eBay Mobile lets you respond as soon as you receive them. It loads and browses faster than the eBay main site on Android, yet it does everything you need to do on eBay -- except pay for your purchases, of course!
