From Stefan Keller:
Exporter for Contacts (formerly Export Address Book) is an advanced Address Book exporter for the Mac to export your local contacts into various formats. It even lets you export fields with custom labels. It can export directly to an Excel file but supports also other export formats like XML with optional XSLT processing, Tab-separated values, CSV, HTML table and customizable vCards. It comes with a set of pre-defined export templates for common applications but lets you also create your own templates.

Version: Export Address Book 1.7
Easy to use, downloads all fields readily available in Excel
None that I have found
Since the free Address Book Exporter currently will not work with Lion, Export Address Book for Mac is an excellent alternative. Don't let the small price deter you, it's a good app for no more than you'd pay for a cappucino. Software developers need rent money, you know. I recommend this app.

Version: Export Address Book 1.5.3
I like that the field mapping is very straight forward and the ability for selective card exports are seamless with AB.
I would like a "Check for Updates" options or feature, instead of finding out from other sources of a new release.
This is hands down the best functional piece of software to export Address Book Contacts. The HTML export is very attractive but the TSV and CSV exports really make the bridge needed to send all of that information to other apps that don't support or are not integrated with AB. This was a great purchase.

Version: Export Address Book 1.5.1
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. I first purchased Export Address Book years ago, when Tiger would not export my data in the format I required. Since then, OS X has included that specific capability, but there are still times when I need my address book data for non-standard uses. For those times, Export Address Book saves the day.

Version: Export Address Book 1.4
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. I've been searching for an Address Book Exporter since the Address Book existed! I was particularly interested in something that exported to HTML. A few came and went and were not supported in later versions of OS X.
I can NOT understand what all the whining is about with the word 'DEMO' appearing in the output text. If you guys REALLY want something for free, then manualy cut and paste - replacing the word with the correct text. I am sure that this will be FAR less work than all the hard coding that has gone into this great little app.
If you do not think it is reasonable to part with a few dollars for all the efforts that this developer has gone to to provide this utility, then do not try to discourage people that are prepared to pay for somebody's efforts - especially when it can help them out and save some time.

Version: Export Address Book 1.4
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. I used the demoversion and it does what it was supposed to do. The menues are clear, the help is direct. So, a nice little peace of helper software.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. I was in a panic and needed an exporter for my address book. So I downloaded this product, which shows up first on a Google search. After cleaning up my download. I tried importing it into Filemaker Pro for a mailing. The old titles for fields took some work lining up, but I finished it. When I imported the records, I was greeted with DEMO added into random files in place of what belonged. TRULY ANNOYING!
I can understand wanting to encourage shareware users to pay up, but it would be nice to use the service once before that happens.
Luckily I found Address Book Exporter, a free app that actually works and has field titles that are discernable. For example, this program has "City Home, City Work, City Home 2". It's hard to line up because everything starts with "City". Address Book Exporter actually made it much easier by putting Home and Work first.
I would shop around before you decide to pay for this app.
