Version: Digidesign CoreAudio Driver 6.5.1
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com. Digi continues its excellence and quality control by releasing a solid update. Works flawlessly on my Dual 500 with the Digi 001.
(On another note, if the lack of "deep sleep" on a five year old product (i.e., the Digi 001) is the deciding factor in not choosing Digi, then perhaps you're not really making music, and more interested in saving a few watts and a couple minutes. This problem is a technical deficiency due to BOTH Apple and Digi's design. But hey, maybe staring at a completely silent Mac IS music to some. Go figure.)
ONLY For Owners of Supported Digidesign Hardware on Mac OS X 10.5.3 "Leopard" That Do Not Have Pro Tools Installed
The Digidesign CoreAudio Driver is an option (checked by default) during the installation of Pro Tools. If you are installing Pro Tools 7.4.2 for Mac OS X 10.5.3, you should use the Digidesign CoreAudio included with your Pro Tools installation, not the standalone version.
This download is for owners of supported Digidesign hardware on Mac OS X 10.5.3 "Leopard" that wish to install the Digidesign CoreAudio Driver without installing Pro Tools.
