  Pros

  I could not use it on my PDF files because they are password protected. So no "pros".

  Cons

  There is no installer, so you need to place a shortcut somewhere, and go to the extra work to place the files in a location that makes sense. Also, this program does not work with PDF files that are password protected, which seriously limits its usefulness. And the Readme file does not have a file type suffix, so Windows asks which program to open it with. I used Notepad, which was the wrong program. I then quit.

  Summary

  Not worth the time. Obviously an initial attempt. The author should fix the problems, then offer it at a modest price.

  Pros

  Slick features: Compare either visually, by word, or by character. Can tell it to ignore the margins (we have a running page head outside the cutmarks that contain irrelevant changes - very handy to be able to ignore these!) Tooltips on UI elements are generally well-thought-out and helpful. Options allow you to customize the highlighting to your needs, making it brighter and thicker in my case.

  Cons

  The default settings made the highlighting easy to miss; but that was easily corrected, as the settings to make highlighting more opaque were readily discoverable. It was not easy to see how to change the comparison mode once I'd done an initial comparison. I would prefer to be able to use the PgUp/PgDn keys to navigate pages, rather than mouse-clicking on buttons. But that's a small thing. The meaning of the number after the bullet in the View dropdown is mysterious at first; the tooltip could have explained this better.

  Summary

  An extremely useful gift for those who need to locate the differences between two versions of a PDF.

  Pros

  Fills a great gap. You may not appreciate what this program does until you need to compare two pdf's with only a few changes. Great interface, simple and effective Easy to use

  Doesn't handle end of pages well Gives a few false positives (better than not highlighting actual changes though) Most of this was what I would have expected from this type of program

  Summary

  Great.. I feel it must have a virus attached to it or something cause it is too good to be true that this program could be freeware.
