CopyTrans Contacts provides a one-stop-shop where you can add, delete, import, export, and otherwise manage contacts between different devices. It works with Outlook, iOS, Android devices, and more.

Pros

Great support: When you launch the app for the first time, you're greeted by a screen that allows you to jump right in if you choose, but also gives you the option to view an FAQ, read user guides, or view tutorials.

Easy to use: Two primary buttons dominate the top of the screen: "Export selected" and "Import Contacts." They're self-explanatory, let you import contacts from your device, and export selected formats to the format or device of your choice.

Additional features: Although it is billed as a contact management app, this program also allows you to work with a number of other types of important phone data -- messages, notes, reminders, and bookmarks.

Cons

Pricing is high: You only get to perform 50 actions with the free version of the program. After that, it costs $15, which seems high, considering that most users could find a way to complete the same functions for free, even if they couldn't do so as quickly or as efficiently.

Bottom Line

This easy-to-use program doesn't overwhelm with bells and whistles, but does allow you to easily get down to the work of syncing your contacts wherever you need to.

Works well for transferring Outlook contacts and notes

Pros
Since iTunes stopped support for Outlook notes sync with the latest version, CopyTrans Contacts has been the only tool to allow me to transfer notes from Outlook to iPhone. Syncing Outlook contacts is a breeze too .

Pros
Fairly straightforward to use. Seems like it might get the job done.
Cons
You get 50 "actions" with your free trial. You might think importing all your contacts is one action but it's not. It's however many contacts you have. One action per contact. Might be the same for uploading contacts.
Summary
This is worthless as a trial (other than for the sake of a trial). If you want to use this you will need to pay. Unfortunately they were not very upfront about its limitations -- unlikely I would have installed it. $20 to buy.
Perfect product for archiving your iPhone messages

Pros
I purchased this software in order to archive 2+ years worth of SMS and WhatsApp messages. The simple and intuitive interface made the task easy. I exported to Excel and HTML. The HTML option produced a conversation view that included all the images and other attachment (in my case, videos) ever sent and received. Some of my chats were very long, so the ability to export a date range was very useful. I had no need for any of the other features of the software, but they seem just as easy to use. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with an iPhone. And, if you have any issues, their support is great. I contacted them regarding a billing question. They got back to me the same day with all the information I requested. Without a doubt, a 5-star product.

Pros
Easy to use. Inexpensive. As a real estate broker I need to be able to save txt conversations. This software is imperative for anyone who needs to save txt with clients. Unbelievable customer service. When I had my hard drive go bad and was afraid I'd lost the program download, I received no fewer than 3 emails from Krasimir following up to make sure I had what I needed. Seriously, as great as the program works, their customer service was better.

I have used almost ever app written for doing this critical but boring chore this is the only one that has done it without a hitch or proble. Very easy to use.

None. It just plan works. In a world of smoke and mirrors it is a delight to find something that actually does what it says it will do

- I mainly used this to transfer my ipad notes to outlook on my computer. works good. - contacts and calendars feature is a bonus - circumvents itunes sync completely: big bonus
Cons
- used it too with iphone 5 to save my sms and whatsapp messages on a computer but it does not feature an sms restore feature though - ultimately - a well rounded application and is what I wanted

Pros
I had my iPhone contacts all sync to iCloud and I needed to transfer them to my gmail account. Try do that in another way and you quickly find it's not possible. Copytrans contacts saved the day as it allowed me to simply move all contacts from my icloud account to gmail contacts in just several clicks. transfer of calendars from my iphone to outlook on my computer was. easy too. Now I find that it can backup imessages and whatsapp - I am still discovering what this little software can do with my iphone and so far its been a charm.

I had been looking for a way to save all of my text messages between my wife and I, including the pictures, in a quick and easy way. I saw a review for this product on another website, so I gave it a try. It didn't take any time at all to install. It connected to my device quickly. I was able to save the entire conversation to a Word document, including pictures. It only took about 45 minutes for the entire process (and I had never used this software before) and it was nearly 700MB worth of messages and pictures. It came out in a clean format that is easy to read who was writing and when they wrote it. It came out in a rich text format that was only 5MB with tons of pictures. It has links to all of the picture, video, and audio files, which it also saves in a separate folder for your convenience. This was much more that I was expecting. It can also save it in an excel file, but it does not save the pictures, video, or audio in any way.

Transferring contacts to and from iPhone had been a nightmare for me before I came across this wonderful CopyTrans Contacts app. Earlier I would search the web for hours trying to manage the transferring of contacts from my Outlook, Yahoo and Gmail accounts; each of the account had its own peculiar method of transfer. As a layman, prior to working with CopyTrans, I encountered mishaps, i.e. some contacts were lost, overwritten or modified during transfer and could not be recovered. However, CopyTrans made it a breeze transferring and copying contacts to/from Outlook, Yahoo and Gmail. The layout of CopyTrans is simplicity in itself and it is hard to go wrong. Additionally it is not only transferring contacts but one can also manage copy/transfer of photos, albums, songs, videos, SMS to/from iPod, iPhone and iPad. And to top it all one can even recover and repair missing and deleted songs on the iPod. What more can one wish for in a simple app for Contacts!!!

To be honest CopyTrans exceeds my expectations and I have yet to come across any short-coming or deficiency in this excellent app. It has made my life simpler and even though not very tech-savvy I am able to handle transferring contacts with confidence. The only drawback I came across is not connected with the use of the app per se. It is the payment part for the 'full version for unlimited use' wherein only PayPal is authorised to accept and process the payment. Unfortunately, where I live PayPal is non-existent.

Just got the Galaxy S3, and I wanted to transfer my 1200 contacts from my iPhone 4S. Tried a couple options, didn't work and decided to contact customer service. They got back to me within 24 hours with an alternative method that worked perfectly.
