NaturalMotion's Clumsy Ninja for Android is a fun game with the goal of training your less-than-skilled ninja until he can cope with a variety of adventures. Clumsy Ninja is the first mobile game to use NaturalMotion's Euphoria SIM tech. It's free (with ads) for Android 2.3 and above.
Euphoria animation engine: Clumsy Ninja is the first touchscreen game with NaturalMotion's Euphoria animation engine, which synthesizes character reactions in real time instead of using a predefined animation library.
Virtual pal: Your ninja not only learns new skills from his encounters but also becomes more lifelike in behavior.
Gives good interface: Though character motion is Clumsy Ninja's special skill, the game has attractive and well-rendered backgrounds and 3D elements, too.
Big app: At nearly 90MB, Clumsy Ninja is a large app. Use Wi-Fi to download it, if you can.
Bit clumsy: Clumsy Ninja needs a lot of resources. Though we played the game on a smartphone running Android 4.3, Clumsy Ninja crashed the first few times we opened it. Closing unneeded apps to recover RAM seemed to help, though.
Clumsy Ninja shows how far games for mobile devices have come in a few short years. It's a fun game with a lot of surprises, but what really sets it apart is the quality of its animation and characters.
