Clear Cache Button

By Chris Holtz Free Editors' Rating

Editors' Review Staff Feb 27, 2009

Simply put, this free Firefox extension is a toolbar button that promises to clear your cache, but even the convenience of easy access doesn't really sell this add-on.

Once you download Clear Cache Button, you have to go into your toolbar menu and drag and drop the button to your toolbar. Clicking on it is supposed to clear your cache, but you have to take their word for it since it displays nothing. There aren't any other options to clear, say, your browsing history or cookies.

Firefox already comes with a feature for clearing your private data. While it can't be accessed via a toolbar shortcut, you can access it using a hotkey combo. Plus, it gives you more cleaning options. We recommend you skip this extension and stick with the Firefox tool.
