Cambly - English Teacher for iOS

Cambly - English Teacher gives you access to native-speaking English tutors, so you can practice conversation and develop your skills. Now you can chat in English anytime from your phone just by logging in to this app, although only the first five minutes of conversation are free. After that, you'll have to pay to converse with a tutor.

To begin using Cambly - English Teacher, you have to log in, either through Facebook or by creating an account with your e-mail address. We did receive an error message while setting up the account, although it was inaccurate and the account had actually been created just fine. Once you're logged in, you can jump right into chatting with a tutor. There is a large red button in the middle of the screen labeled "Practice English," or you can browse the list of available tutors to see who is currently available. This list also includes all of the tutors who are not currently online, and tapping any one of them will take you to a screen where you can get a little more information about them and see their availability schedule for the current week. You can also send them a private message from this screen.

The interface of this app is streamlined and intuitive, and it's nice to be able to browse through the list of tutors to see who might share your interests to make conversation easier. The app is free to install, and it comes with five free minutes of conversation. After those five minutes are up, though, you'll have to purchase more. Prices range from $4.99 for 15 minutes to $37.99 for 120 minutes.
