Anyone who has ever been in a band can tell you that naming your ensemble is one of the hardest parts. This application lends a hand by generating random names, but it appears to be a work in progress. Band Name Generator's concept is more exciting than its rather drab design. We wanted to access the Advanced Word Setup feature, but the program told us it was still under construction. To use the application, you select how many words you want to be in your band's name and whether you want the at the beginning. After that, you choose the part of speech (noun, verb, or adjective) for each word, then click the Generate button. The app quickly calls up a list of band names, including such gems as Cow Crying Freezing Prison and The Dreadful Yellow Boys. We can't guarantee Band Name Generator will help you launch a million-selling career, but if you're desperate for a band name, this freebie is at least worth a shot.
