  I purchased this 10/07. It worked 'okay' for what it was. When v4 came out I upgraded (FREE LIFETIME UPGRADES - right on their site). I discovered there were BUGS in the HELP system. After being ignored by 'tech support' I stated this fact on their forum. The moderator (an Axialis employee) acknowledged the issue saying it would be fixed in the next release. The next release 4.1 came but still no fix. Then 4.2 came and still no fix. I related this on the forum again after which they promptly deleted my forum logon, AND (I discovered later) my ACCOUNT logon - so I can no longer get the updates I PAID them for (and still have the receipt to prove it). To date all requests for help have been completely ignored. All I can say is - don't complain about anything because this FOREIGN company (based in FRANCE) will screw you knowing there isn't a thing in the world you (being 5,500 miles away in America) can do.

  This outfit can not take criticism. They will delete your account if you point out bugs in their software. This is a FOREIGN company that knows there is nothing you can do to them if they screw you (unless you happen to live in France - then you may have a chance)Don't waste your $$

  In the same league with the best professional editing products out there. As recommended, I also used the Axialis Icon Maker with it. Both worked beautifully.

  Cons

  I couldn't preview my finished installed screensaver on my son's Vista laptop....perhaps because it was a trial, or was it because of the Vista OS? The trial only lasted one day for me, then it expired(might be my fault as my date/clock was unknowingly set for year 2010 before the install and then I reset it after I installed the program).

  Very easy to use... The zoom is nice.

  I've created 7 screensavers with all type of music (.wav, .mid, .mp3) and all of them give me an error when they are running.

• Even Corporate Version "Watermarks" your work.

  Pros

  Easy to use, doesn't seem to be much learning curve. Price discrepancy -- it's currently "$39.99" to buy (at the time of this post), not "$34" as mention in this listing on download.com. And that price is only for the PERSONAL edition, with only some features enabled, as in the 30-day trial. That said, I would recommend this product for any hobbyist wanting to make their own screen savers to show off to family and friends, but not to sell professionally.

  Cons

  The Corporate Version, which currently costs $69.99 is the one that you pay for to have ALL the features unlocked, to be used for commercial purposes. That part is fine, EXCEPT that even with the Corporate Version, the program STILL puts "Made By Axialis" on your end result, that can not be removed. Not a "watermark" per se, but any user / customer of YOUR work sees it was made by Axialis. Imagine if Photoshop or VB.Net branded YOUR compiled work with their company name.

  It has the nicest graphical interface.

  Cons

  I wish it would have more features that the user of the created screen saver can use to customize it. <p>For example, the behavior and the effects could be adjusted by the user. In addition,it would be good if they could choose their own sliding effects between the images. Also, if the mute button wouldn't show if the screen saver doesn't come with music. Also, I'd like the user to decide if the images show in random, sequential or mixed order, etc.
