Though this audio-conversion software carries some decent features, it suffers from a few bugs and the conversion speed is slow. Audio Converter and Ripper pulls tracks from audio CDs and converts them into other formats, including WMA, MP3, OGG, and others. The program also includes additional software for listening to source or output files. We were impressed with the level of fine tuning available for nearly every output format and found the program very easy to use overall. That said, when you're converting files, the program's progress bar freezes, making it impossible to determine how far along in the conversion process you are. Conversion speeds also are fairly slow, but we feel that the range of features does make up for its sluggish speed. Overall, this is a decent program for audio-file conversion that just needs a quick tune-up to be great.
