- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />My Superdrive on my G5 2.5 GHz would not read most Apple Install DVDs (especially GarageBand Jam Packs) so I had to make a disk image of them on my PowerBook and then use those to install on the G5. A real hastle to say the least and at least I had a second computer to do this. Talked with Apple Tech and followed discussions on this problem. Ran the Firmware update and popped in some of the Disks my G5 never read and WALLA!!! the came right up the first time!!!!

- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Certain Superdrives were having trouble reading copy protected media. Prior to the update my drive could not read the Final Cut Express HD 3.0 upgrade, after the update the discs can be installed. Thanks Apple.
