This well-rounded study aid tests your basic knowledge of several subjects, including math, English, history, and geography. The nothing-fancy interface won't win any design accolades, but it makes it easy to choose which academic areas you want to brush up on. Most subjects have several subcategories; for example, if you need to hone your English skills, you can take multiple-choice tests in grammar, spelling, or reading. However, both the history and the geography options offer only quizzes about the United States. Academia's trial version only lets you access the easiest set of questions, so many of them aren't very mentally challenging. Still, some other challenges, such as correctly naming Theodore Roosevelt's birthplace, can prove a bit trickier. All told, we think this app best suits grade-school or junior-high-school students seeking to improve their grades.
