    "Impossible to register"

    December 01, 2008   |   By tralfazmx

    Version: Installer2Go 4.2.5

    Pros

This program works fine for the older com based installations but isn't up-to-date for dot net.

    Cons

The registration button in the program has no effect. I paid my $49 and never got a working registered version. The company that is supposed to support it is in Russia near Moscow. (SDS) Now 11 days after registration they have still never responded even once to my emails. Regsoft even tried to contact them to no avail. Regsoft took several days to respond to emails too at first, but now at least they are saying they will get my money back for me. Don't go through the torture of trying to register this program. Use the free version or forget it.

    Sometimes cheaper isn't a bargain.

    Pros

The program makes a great installer package. Basic, easy.

    Cons

It does not analyze the package for dependancies and incorporate them into the installer.

"Look at the previous review !!!"

    December 07, 2006   |   By Omega Weapon

    Version: Installer2Go 4.1.2

    Pros

I ve tried this program many times but there is something so disturbing, You must include

Windows MSI Installer into your setup extraction file, Windows MSI Installer size is up to 3MB for nothing !!

I will make it short, This program is trying to clone InstallShield.

"The absolute best Installer for Windows Applications!"

    April 26, 2006   |   By Fairminded Man

    Version: Installer2Go 4.1.2

    Pros

This thing uses Windows Installer technology, making it 'State-of-the-Art' in many ways.

Installations are professional looking and a piece of cake to make! Way better than Installaware, which I tried.

I just saw on IA's discussion board someone talking about how it crash their hard drive with the InstallAware application. Let me tell you, I had that experience too! There's one field in it where if you enter the wrong thing it messes all your .exe files up and you can't run anything. (Actually I think it damages your registry) Also heard that they're impossible to deal with if you have a problem. Not so with the Installer2Go guys.

Installer2Go works extremely well and makes it very easy to create a professional looking and acting installation packages. The installations actually look a whole lot like InstallShield, etc.

It's also way easier to use. For example, with the trial ap of Installaware, I found no easy way to put my program in the startup folder, and no easy way to change my .ico file. (I'm sure there's a way, but it probably involves a ton of training and scripting). Again, not so with Installer2Go.

With Installer2Go creating a professional package was quick and easy. The cost is literally about 1/10th of InstallSheild, InstallWise and of course IA. So before you buy another installation package, you gotta try this!!!

I liked the application so much that I purchased it a couple of days ago, and love it. It really saved my neck on a project I'm working on.

To be honest, they could easily charge a lot more and be justified in doing so.

Maybe one of the most underrated applications on downloads.com.

Just wish there were a way to rate these guys higher than a 5!

    Cons

Not much. The people who created this really knew what they were doing. Can't crash your system either!
