"Great software - I have my address book back!!!"

    September 18, 2013   |   By JimRoberts75

    Version: phoneMiner 2.2.1

    Pros

Restored my iPhone contacts list, messages and photos

    Cons

    Can't think of any cons

    Summary

My iPhone decided to crash and then it wouldnt work but I found out I had automatic backups created by iTunes so after much research I tried phoneMiner. Within moments of downloading it I had my contacts, messages and photos back and I thought they were lost forever a few moments before.

I emailed their support asking how to export my contacts and had a reply within an hour.

Will recommend to other family and friends for sure. Thanks.

    "Exactly what I wanted!"

    September 12, 2012   |   By KarrenLewis

    Version: phoneMiner 1.7.3

    Pros

Retrieved my contacts from three old BlackBerry backups and also managed to get loads of other stuff I'd forgotten about too (emails/calendar entries).

Needed to contact support as I did not get my unlock code straight away, however this appeared in my inbox as I sent the email. Customer support responded within an hour - no complaints here - I've waited days for some support from other companies.

    Cons

Slight delay in receiving my unlock code but this could have been my email providers fault.

    Summary

I think the previous reviewer has issues with their computer or is a novice user as phoneMiner installed fine on my Windows XP laptop and my Win 7 desktop.

I think this software is a real life-saver for some people, and it helped me get back in contact with some old friends.

"Promised Customer Support there was NONE"

    July 30, 2012   |   By crabmangary

    Version: phoneMiner 1.7

    Pros

Easily recovered BBM data from my PC. Free trial enables 5 lines of data to see that it works.

    Cons

I paid an extra $10 to be able to import the recovered data into my Windows Live account. That did not work and my emails to Amrak Corporation have not been responded to at all. Now my computer is blue screening and I don't know if it is from this software.

To be clear about what I got. I got contact, phone numbers, addresses and even some texts recovered from the backup software from my Blackberry that I had on my PC. This is what you get for $20. When I lost my Blackberry I went to a Windows phone. There was promised a way to import that data into other accounts such as Windows Live but I could find no way. I could not cut and paste any of that into anything else. I could only print it out and retype it. I had paid an additional $10 to be able to import it into my Windows Live account. I was not able to do that.

    Summary

The most annoying part is the promise of customer service that is totally non-existent.
