Flixster - Showtimes + Tickets for iOS

Get movie showtimes, theater info, Rotten Tomatoes scores, and more with the Flixster for iPhone app. The Fandango-owned Flixster app also shows you which movies are available to watch at home and which services carry them.

Pros

More than movie showtimes: The Flixster for iPhone app displays more than movie showtimes at theaters near you. You'll also see scores from Flixster's sister site Rotten Tomatoes (also owned by Fandango), audience ratings, critic reviews, synopsys, cast info, movie images, trailers, and more.

Movies near you: Turn on Location Services to find movie theaters and showtimes near you without having to input your location each time.

Movies at home: Tap the At Home button on the center of the bottom rail to view titles that you can watch now on such services as FandangoNow, Amazon, iTunes, or Netflix, or ones that are coming soon to a streaming service near you.

News: Tap the News button on the bottom rail to see the latest TV and movie news from Rotten Tomatoes.

Cons

Ticket purchases through Fandango only: To purchase tickets, you'll have to register for or sign in to a Fandango account to make and complete your purchase on Fandango's website or app. Because of this and the fact that most of Flixster's features are already available on Fandango, you may just be better off avoiding Flixster and sticking with Fandango.

Bottom Line

If you're already a Fandango user, then you'd do well to skip Flixster for iPhone and just stick with Fandango.
