Although this program offers a decent set of tools for designing 3D covers for a variety of media sources, its unintuitive interface and steep learning curve temper our enthusiasm. Designing a CD, e-book, or DVD cover with eCover 3D is no simple task. Rather than first letting you select a template before adding an image, the application forces you to open an image, then apply it to a certain template, a procedure we found baffling even with the assistance of the help files. Once that process is complete, you can open your cover in the 3D environment before tweaking parameters for lighting, camera, scaling, and rotation. Unfortunately, the trial version places a large watermark over your case, which ruins the look of your printed covers. We did appreciate the available image-editing tools, which include those for color adjustment, resizing, adding effects, and drawing. This application certainly looks promising, but until it's easier to use, we can only suggest it to patient and experienced users.

"A Great High Quality Ecover Program"

Summary: I have downloaded and sampled most of the ecover generators out there, this is the first program, I found, that offered versatile high quality templates, and not just in business and marketing. I have windows xp home, and this program worked for me ... read more >>

"Real Time 3D Rendering"

Pros: This is fantastic. Complete 3D rotation and great effects with light and shadow. Cant say enough ... this is very professional software

Pros: After I practiced on the software I found that I can make covers as good as or better that any graphic designer. Love the open book cover the best.

"I Like It Its Like Mac OS X Leopard 1.1"

Pros: I Even Looked Through My files for a while and i did something wicked and i saw that it was a coverflip. its a great system program. i even put it on my pretend mac. :) even i dont wanna see noobs download it/comment on this software. its alot of fun and makes me laugh. i like MAC OS X 1.1 leopard. its good software (as i said).
