it is a perfect game for people who like animals. what is best about it for me is it dosn't crash on my computer unlike rollor coaster tycoon 3.

I thought this was a great demo. It gave you enough things and animals to get the feel of the game...and unlimited time.
The graphics are very good, and ran smoothly with no problems for me.
I also liked the control you have over designing the zoo, there are so many options. then you can walk around as a guest. It tells you you if your guests are happy, if they need more bathrooms, more food, placs to sit, what they like about the animal exibits...it's great.
If you like this demo, try the Expansion Pack demos too, they are just as good.
I'm definately buying the full version game. I found it on Best Buy's Website with an Exspansion Pack for 24.99...don't buy it here!
I think this is a fun game to play with your kids, too.

ok i bought this yesterday for my birthday (january 14th) and i have to say this game is brilliant, definately the best zoo tycoon in my opinion. i love the music and the ability to walk around as a guest. also the zoo fact thing by pressing f1 is very informational. i played from 7pm-11pm last night thats like 4 hrs. its addicting, the graphics are superb when you put them on full quality. its like jurrasic park operation genesis for the ps2 a little in my opinion. and when you can walk around as guest reminds me alot about playstation 1's theme park world. get this game it is very fun you create lakes and even waterfalls by creating cliff then using the brush feature on shallow water to crate a waterfall. took me a while to find out untill i read page 14 of the instruction manual. i bough from best buy for only $19.99 i remeber once when it was $39.99 but its not 39.99 in stores. dont get from downloads.com the full version they rip you off.

ummmmmm ultimate predators like the bears and tigers dont kill the zookeepers when they are in thier exhibits. i remmeber on jurrasic park operation genisis when the animals used to rip the people apart lol. thats where my point goes. not really any more cons at all..

I'm an avid fan of the first Zoo Tycoon and always will be. I downloaded this game, hoping to find a better improved version of Zoo Tycoon. The controls are very confusing and it is extremely hard to manage the screen. I could not figure out whether my animals exhibit was satisactory or not, because it wouldn't tell me. The game was very confusing. If you're looking for a good zoo game get Zoo Tycoon for half the price, then get the expansion packs, which allow you to do alot more with the animals (own sea creatures and create animal shows and hatch dinosaur eggs). These give you a great sense (to a certain extent) of running a zoo. Don't waste your time with Zoo Tycoon 2.
