A good alternative to many ZIP applications on the market, this program is both easy to use and reliable. ZipWorx Explorer compresses and decompresses ZIP file archives. We really like the program's interface, which, despite some ad windows (which can be closed), is well-designed and amusingly cartoon-like. For each file, you can view its original size, its compressed size, the date of compression, the file type, and even whether the file is encrypted. ZipWorx also allows you to automatically compress a file by simply right-clicking a file and choosing the compression option from the modified drop-down menu. Program menus also allow you to set a default ZIP folder or create multivolume ZIP files. Overall, this is a great program that makes zipping programs a snap.
