Publisher's Description
From Comp-sci:
Based on The Sentinel, Zenith is a first-person action/puzzle/strategy game. The objective is to depose the Sentinel at the Zenith. You do this using the landscape's resources to gain energy and height, avoiding the deadly stare of the Sentinel and its assisting Sentries. Levels are randomly generated, making this game infinitely replayable.
Zenith is actively being developed, so enhancements are published often by the author. Version 0.9.10.r3 sound effects added, development continues. Full version history at developer's Website.

"Addictive"
Version: Zenith 0.9.5
Pros
I usually suck at this kind of game,
but working my way through it I progress nicely in touch with the difficulty curve.
-
"I like a lot."
Version: Zenith 0.9.5
Pros
Looks retro but plays faster than the original Sentinel, and is smooth on my old PC. Good variety on the different levels - huge landscapes, fog, and atmospheric lighting that the original didn't have. Gets difficult at levels 40-60. Sentinel and sentry are scary hooded monks, and the sense of panic as it scans as as good as the original!
Cons
Doesn't look up to date (retro?), and has no sound, but it doesn't really need either.

"AARRGGHHHH!!! Nasty!"
Version: Zenith 0.9.5
Pros
Deleting it from my hard drive gave me a feeling a great satisfaction.
Cons
The tutorial was not helpful.
There was no sound.
The graphics were almost CGA/Commodore 64 quality.
There was no back ground or story or POINT for that matter.
Conclusion:
If you DONT like someone... give them this game. I'd rather pull out all my nose hairs with salad spoons than play this game again.
