WordsFlow solves the biggest headache in InDesign production: automatically merging changes in placed text or spreadsheet files into already-edited InDesign stories. It spares you the pain, frustration and errors of manually merging in changes from the external document. What's more, it works entirely invisibly, with no user interface beyond the normal link handling you're already used to for graphics.
What's new in this version:
- Fixes a problem reintroduced in 1.1 where updating from a linked Excel document with deleted rows/columns could cause unexpected formatting changes.
- Fixes a problem where table styles applied to linked Excel documents could be lost during an update.
- Works around an InDesign limitation which was causing Word and Excel documents to lose their import options during updates.
- Fixes a problem where InDesign could shut down if a story was relinked to a file.
