"Quick and Simple"
Version: Winmail Reader 1.2.14
Pros
Got my winmail.dat file decrypted
Cons
You have adds, but they can be turned off, so it is not really a cons but a feature :)

-
"Now you'll Know"
Version: Winmail Reader 1.1.11
Pros
It opens and allows you to read all those pesky email attachments so you can diagnose "why". Without know what's in those attachments, you're blind on where to start
Cons
I haven't used it enough to find any negatives
Summary
Another good program for your toolbox
-
"Did not work."
Version: Winmail Reader 1.1.11
Pros
There are no pros.
Cons
Did not work for me.
Summary
The bigger problem is with the entire Windows platform. There are too many add-ons and plugins required for common apps to open.

"simple, fast, free and it works!"
Version: Winmail Reader 1.1.11
Pros
Small rize, simple interface, opens quickly all winmail attachments generated by Outlook. It's one task only, but if if you use Thunderbird you just cannot see those kind of Microsoft stuff.
Cons
Well, the only con I see is that is a single-task program, but anyway is small and free...

"Worked Great"
Version: Winmail Reader 0.9.4
Pros
Incredibly simple, just browse to the file you want to open and it will open it. I used it to open an email attachment (Outlook 2003) that was sent to my boss. The attachment was supposedly sent in .doc, but for some reason appeared as .dat when we got it. This application opened it immediately, and I could re-save it as a Word doc and forward it back to my boss. Don't you love it when freeware makes you look so smart!
Cons
None, does what it says it will do.

"Works great. Doesn't need any other."
Version: Winmail Reader 0.9.4
Pros
Works directly from Thunderbird. Allows to preview the files, not like fentun or the others.
Cons
Could be a thunderbird extension (but I found no extension for doing the same as he does)
