"Where is it???????????????"
Version: Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
Pros
None, the download does not exist.
Cons
The download does not exist. Micro$oft won't let you get a good copy of windows, they only let you get what they want. Vista sucks, and 7 ain't much better.
Summary
I don't know what the hell is wrong with cnet but this should be removed.
I ran 7 for a couple of months and found too many things missing that XP has and didn't like the features it had, most are useless.
MS says media center don't work with XP, you have to install win 7, but Windows XP media center edition has media center so why can't I get a copy of media center for my copy of XP pro?? STUPID MS -
"Please Remove this Link to WMC"
Version: Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
Pros
I kinda Like it on my W7 Machine...
Cons
CNET Sucks for misleading us to think we can download WMC for XP, I give CNET one star because I cannot give them ZERO stars.
Summary
Their are other media center softwares that support the "standard" video file formats, unlike WMC, which only generates WTV files, then needs to be converted to view by most ALL TVs

"Microsoft Con Job"

"no link to product"
Version: Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
Pros
None, since the product cannot be downloaded.
Cons
The name of this download is "Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005". However, if you click "Download Now", all you see is a link to upgrade to Windows 7, to "enjoy the latest on Windows Media Center."
Summary
The bottom line is that if you want to download Windows Media Center, even the XP version of Windows Media Center, you are going to have to upgrade to Windows 7. And the only reason I can think of is that Microsoft wants your money.
