"C R A P of a program with XP PRO 64-bit OS"
Version: Windows Media Player (64-bit) 11
Pros
NONE when working with XP Professional 64-bit. Can't fully uninstall and reinstall. I had our IT Tech install, uninstall, update, etc. and still have problems listening, ripping music from a CD. It cannot reconize a sinple CD.
Cons
Attaches .cda file extension the player can't read. Vista Prem. 64-bit (home) will play, rip, etc. Its not the computer's fault (high end rack mount ($$$) at work). Only works with flash drive and WMA, MP3, MP4- no CD???? Frustrating...
Summary
There are no avenues in Microsoft's website to even ask a question via email and the FAQ site is a BIG waste of time. When is MS going to actually use their software in the REAL world and amke it easier for the common slugs in the population to use and correct these problems.

"Horrible for Vista"
Version: Windows Media Player (64-bit) 11
Pros
I can rip, burn cd's and sync to my mp3. I don't like anything else about it. I prefer version 10 but it won't work with Vista.
Cons
The program consistently shuts down. If you minimize window while burning for instance, and you want to maximize the window to play a song, or any reason, it shuts down in the middle of burning the cd.
Summary
Same as I already stated, it sucks.
