ever tried to grep in windows? Dump stuff to a text file for later use? Having a UI to remember rusty semantics is very handy.
If you want more korn shell functions, get a full shell (but it won't have the GUI)
Okay, I type 'ls' instead of 'dir' a lot, but this is not a good enough fix. Yes, it has sed too, but where is awk/foreach/etc? Give me a couple more command line options please.
Could be of help to manipulate large files, e.g. with "sed" utility. Drawback: it works in a Windows environment, so it may be subject to unpredictable crashes
I use this quite a bit for general windows command line use. it eases the conversion from *nix to windows. No complaints for the commandline, which is abou all I use ;)
Subject says it all--give it up.
