Despite a few missing features, this surveillance tool effectively monitors and controls computer activity. WinSession Logger's functional interface offers much of the same functionality as other monitoring software in its class. It records keyloggers, captures screenshots, opens apps, and can conveniently send log reports to your e-mail or via FTP delivery. While it claims to record clipboard activities, this feature simply disabled Windows paste operation in our tests. It can monitor chat sessions, but only supports MSN Messenger. One good thing is that you can set up keywords that alert the program to send e-mails if they're typed in an application or URL. Plus, you can block other applications or URLs with the tool's content-filtering feature. For invisibility, it can operate in stealth mode, but oddly, there's no hot key to call it out of hiding. Its interface is password-protected, and you can remove program items from the Add or Remove list, the Start menu, and the desktop. WinSession Logger effectively monitored our keystrokes and screen images, but only for a limited 60-minute trial run. The program doesn't have a scheduler, but it's set to commence at every start-up. Despite these issues, WinSession Logger is still a viable solution for monitoring and controlling computer activities.
