WinRAR offers you the benefit of industry-strength archive encryption using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) with a key of 128 bits.
What's new in this version: Version 4.01 improves processing of TAR archive format.

Very powerful and convenient tool.
Cons
Compression for JPG photos, MP 3 files for my I POD plaer, Adobe Reader PDF files (PDF Magazines), Flash Plaer SWF files, ZIP, JAR, or ICO PNG files is not optimal. So I use WinRAR along with OverZip Compression Booster 4 add-on to improve compression on such files.
