Publisher's Description
From Sardine Software:
If you have ever been in a situation while using your computer where the background noise in the room makes it impossible to work, then White Noise Player may return very useful. White Noise Player will play any .WAV file on your computer you choose on a continuous loop cycle from your system tray. This allows you to choose any sound you like from simple white noise to a relaxing rainfall and at the same time, reduce the noise you hear that may distract you from your work.

"Bad, bad, bad"
Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros
None so far
Cons
User un-friendly, annoying reminders, only 3 or 4 tracks to pick, awful interface
-
"Would not run at all."
Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros
Price would be nice if it worked.
Cons
White Noise Player did NOT work when installed on Win7-64bit. Simply would not start execution after install.
Summary
Can NOT recommend it for Windows 7 64-bit systems.

"Good sounds but limited version only works for 30 mins"
Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros
Decent track listing using looping .wav files
Cons
It only lasts about 30 minutes.... Not long enought to use for sleep.
Summary
Well if you download this program to get the .wav files, than use winamp and loop that wav file you basically get the full version for free. I would of bought this if it lasted 30 days, but it doesn't so out of spite I'm getting all the advantages for free. The "This is a limited version" pop up and limited use ruined any chance I had of buying this....

-
"works when you've tuned volume to your acceptable range"
Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros
deep sound with non intrusive rhythm and short slightly higher pitched notes interceding
without intruding into the general noiseCons
Relaxingwith no break up of the "deadening" sound
Summary
Quite a reasonable success in achieving what it sets out to do - as stated get the volume right and it works well

"I like it better than pure white or pink noise"
Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros
It works. It is not too high pitched. The person who found it "creepy" may have reacted to an initial impression. The listener can imagine a fire roaring and crackling - or hear dripping in a cave. But I got used to it in a few minutes.
Cons
The steady drip reminds one of an infamous torture technique. In future versions the developer might consider changing it.

"Does what it says."
Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros
Easy interface.
Cons
Tiny point: product should probably mention (in the message box that pops up when evaluation version runs) that it is only the evaluation version that turns off after 10 mins.

"Kind of creepy sounding."
Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros
The cost is only $5.00.
Cons
The default white noise is kind-of creepy after a while. At first it just sounds like racket. After a while, it does seem to drown out other noises from other rooms. (I was using it trying to go to sleep with a husband banging around in the kitchen and an active 4 year-old playing in the frontroom.) After a while I found myself concentrating on the sounds and could make out a tick-tock, a jet plane sound, a bubbling brook, and rainfall. Then I started hearing what sounded like an low voice chanting "Just like you". Too creepy, and not relaxing. It was hard to get it to play other white noises, and it's not a plesant interface. It's better than nothing, but barely.

"Simple program - Does what it says and works great!"
Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros
In case you don't know what white noise is, white noise is basically a sound that masks out other noises, and white noise includes static or similar sounds. You can use any sound clip you want, but it comes with a great one that sounds like rain, or maybe a crackling fire. It's very soothing! It's great for masking out snoring, construction noise, or just about any other noise.
This program is only $5, it's tiny and does exactly what is says it does, nothing more, nothing less. Great program!
Cons
None. Would be nice if the program was free perhaps, but $5 isn't bad.

"Need a sound clip sample first"
Version: White Noise Player 1.01
Pros
This program works as intended.
Cons
It sounds terrible. Something akin to a stack of books burning or perhaps someone fanning a large volume book in your face.
White noise is suppose to be easy to ignore - this was not.
Also, when running, it plays over any music player running, unless you turn it off. You can't do both at the same time.
