From James Sentman :Whistle Blower is a server monitor and functional testing utility. In addition to standard TCP and Ping network connectivity tests, Whistle Blower can connect to many common server types as a client and verify that they respond correctly. If your server fails, Whistle Blower can respond at escalating levels based on how long it remains down. Beginning by sending you an email, then a page to your numeric pager or SMS message to your cell phone, and finally, if the server remains down and you have a Master Switch from APC, or a PowerKey from Sophisticated circuits, by restarting the server for you.
Version 3.1 features: Email Cycle Task, SMTP Authentication, and HTTP Action.

Version: Whistle Blower (OS X) 3.1
Pros: Has options not found in most other similar software. Monitoring Apple File Sharing Services and FileMaker 6 and earlier databases.
Cons: ZERO, ZERO, ZERO support. Quits when processing more than a few events. Outdated. Has not been updated in many years.
