"Great webcam tester"

December 09, 2013  |  By Drake_Master

 |  Version: WebcamViewer 1.0

Pros

- Small file size
- No install
- Runs quickly
- Easily detects webcams
- Leaves no trace (except if you take a picture, which it stores in a subfolder in the folder it is launched from)
- Can take snapshots
- Can choose from multiple resolution settings
- Great for testing the webcam on a new laptop

Cons

- only does video and snapshots. No horizontal flip for mirror mode or other special features. But it's not supposed to do those things, so it's fine.

Summary

Great tool for testing a new webcam, taking pictures of yourself or general seeing-what's-behind-you.

"Just what I needed"

September 25, 2013  |  By hdrenollet

 |  Version: WebcamViewer 1.0

Pros

Easy, simple program, no installation required.

Cons

Slightly lower quality than my webcam manufacturer's software, but such a smaller app to run, it's totally worth the minor quality difference.

Summary

I use this as a rear-view camera while I'm at work (I don't like people sneaking up on me at my desk). This does exactly what I need!! Perfect!

"Exactly the tool I needed"

January 25, 2013  |  By paultobrien

 |  Version: WebcamViewer 1.0

Pros

+ Obeys KISS principles.
+ Let's me use my webcam as a rear-view mirror for my back-to-the-door workspace
+ Does what it says, nothing more, nothing less
+ If I need to shave and I can't find a mirror, this program is a lifesaver

Cons

+ I don't wear makeup so I can't use this to pretty up.

Summary

I just want to say thanks to Bust A TECH for making this small but useful tool.
