Works with lots of cameras. A ton of features such as: motion sensing with sensitivity you can customized; periodic shots that you can set the time for. More stuff I haven't played around with yet. Runs in the background or foreground.
Even with a setup wizard, it's not obvious how everything works the first time. You have to play around with the settings to figure out what everything does. Decent online help file but leaves most of the learning up to you.
I use this to record my dog during the day. It detects his movement and takes shots at specified intervals. Pretty fun. I found no other free software that can do all the things this one can. Might be just what you need.
Timershot can't "find" my D-Link DSB-C110 webcam ( but the Arcsoft sw that came with that D-Link webcam was able to recognize and use it on Win XP Pro).
It doesn't have any search mechanism to find the webcam. Does the Webcam need to be already connected to XP before installing Timershot? Is there any additional documentation for this mini app , e.g. a list of compatiable webcam for XP? Thx.
Easy to use and understand, don't know how it will work on-line, haven't tested it yet. For what I wanted, it works surprisingly well and actually allows me to use an Xbox 360 camera as a quicky security cam.
I would like a bigger preview picture but considering the camera, this is probably not possible. We're not exactly talking high quality photo lenses so you get what you pay for.
