Weatherman's info is complete and its graphics nice to look at. I'd like to see Weatherman have an option to live in the menubar with drop-down windows instead of having to keep its window open all the time.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I've had WeatherManX and WeatherMenu for years and have been very happy except for occasional glitches when the national weather service changes how it maintains its website. I emailed the developer a couple of days ago and indicated forecasts were not loading and others were complaining about lack of response from him. He emailed me back within two days directing me to a new update. He suggested I delete cities I was having trouble with and add them again. That did the trick.

This is the best internet-based meteorological program I have tried, has a good interface, and can be configured to update itself quite effectively - it does not work as well "straight out of the box," you need to tweak it a bit, and the "tweaks" are not always intuitive ones. The biggest complaint I have is that AfterTen is slow to react to Weather Service server changes, which they seem to make on a disturbingly frequent and random basis (why, by the way?). There is a support forum at the developers site, and the developer does seem to respond to the comments there in a reasonable amount of time, but you can tell this is not his day job!

Occasionally, the Weather Service makes changes and this always messes up my weather programs (I run more than one), but normally all of them will have a similar problem. The developer has always had rapid responces to my email questions; certainly within a reasonable timeframe. This newest version is working fine even though I have quite a few locations it must load. If I had to buy the license again, I wouldn't hesitate. When I need accurate weather information quickly, this is where I go. This program is used constantly by me and I depend on it.

Version 1.9.3 completely eliminated all forecasts for Canada, so I returned to 1.9.2. Version 1.9.4 has now brought full functioning to my Canadian sites. I only wish that radar images were possible, but it's another country.... Thank you, Dean, for your hard work and prompt replies to emails.

Since I am employed in the aviation industry, I particularly appreciate the addition of the ceiling information in version 1.9.1. Over the years, the only problem I've had with this program is when the U.S. Weather Service changes their location database. Then WeatherMan has to be revised (or something) to make corrections. The developer has always been pretty quick about updating as needed. Further, the price to register this software is very reasonable. This software has continually improved over the years, and I see no reason why this will not continue.

I monitor my own location and others of my family scattered about the world on one screen (a window for each location). Trends, forecasts, alerts, maps (some animated) arte supported. Sure, some locations do not have all the features showing, but that is a matter of resources available for the location. The clean customizable location display alone is worth the small shareware fee to me.
