WavePad Masters Edition by NCH Software is a full-featured music editing program for Windows PC computer. WavePad allows you to create and edit music and other audio recordings. You can duplicate sections of recordings and add echo, amplification, noise reduction and other effects
From easy drag-n-drop to a robust feature set, I find I can accomplish anything I set my amateur-but-creative mind to.
Cons
The paid version is a bit pricey for occasional use.
Summary
When you really need a robust editing tool, this is the best option I've found for the money.
Love the program
mrmet15
Pros
1. Editing is very easy
2. Edit are extremely precise. You can get so precise you can't ell the music was edited
3. Free evaluation version, purchase pricing is very affordable and worth every penny.
4. Addition of Lossless MP3 editing feature
Cons
1. How to find where to make edits where you select a "Specified Time" edit
Summary
I Love this program. I have been using it for about 10 or so years now. It allows you to make edits so precise that you can't tell the music was edited. It's relatively easy to use. I would have given it a 5 stars but they changed how you do the editing for "Specified Time" edits, which I think was slightly easier in prior versions. Regardless this is an outstanding program.
One of few programs that work perfectly on Windows 10

Pros
User friendly.
Cons
Few add on...
Summary
No updates after 3 months unless you pay
Eiverg78
Pros
Simple, easy to use.
Cons
No updates after 3 months without buying the software again.
Summary
I had version 6.18 and thought I lost the installation download. Tried to download it again and found that I would have to pay for it a second time. I also found that you only get updates for 3 months after you pay for it. I paid $60 for the software and will have to buy it again to get any updates. I don't recommend this software for that reason. I can see charging for a totally new version, but not updates.
Intuitive, light-weight and efficient sound editor.

Pros
+ Great for chopping/splitting/trimming samples for use in other productions
+ Easy to locate tools and effects keep the flow steady and simple
+ Quick, responsive interface
Cons
- None that I have experienced.
Summary
I use this for cutting samples out of songs for use in other productions. It works perfectly for my uses and I'm sure would be an indispensable for any music producer.
Does nearly everything, very versatile and works fast
Pablos544
Pros
- even open movie files and extract audio segments
- saves in any popular format
- opens just about any kind of sound file
- very traditional XP look, tasks on the left, toolbar, easily and familiar right away
- menus are simple to understand
Cons
- can only install on 2 PCs and then they ask you to buy it again - not the end of the world
Summary
Can't imagine life without it. Any time I've got an audio problem I run straight to this program and it seems to deal with it
Easiest audio editing software I have used
Chip5144
Pros
Easy to use software with straight forward menu functions and numerous file destination types. A child could figure out how to use this software...It's that easy
Cons
NCH does not allow version updates to wavepad. Basically, if you want the update you have to repurchase the software. This is poor customer relations if you ask me and a bit tacky on them. Make sure you save the download file of the version you purchase to an external device for future reinstalls ..if needed. Also save both the activation and most importantly the registration code you receive at time of activation as they wont give it to you again.
Summary
Great software...would be a five star product if they understood customer loyalty.
I just love it!
Andrew Zemek
Pros
In spite of having many audio editing programs like Adobe Audition, Cubase and PreSonus Studio One or Avid's Pro Tools First I was willing to dish out some cash to have the full version of WavePad! It's so intuitive, so easy to use, does all I want it to do - just brilliant. No need for a manual. I use it for speech/voice-overs editing and it is just so perfect for it!
Cons
Hardly any. Conversion of stereo to mono could be better automated.
Summary
I don't do much music editing, but for speech there is no better tool, really.
