"Simple to use; does what I need it to do."
Version: Wave Editor 3.0.3
Pros
Good, simple, user interface.
Cons
Tends to "freeze" during long operations (e.g., "cutting" more than a few seconds worth of audio), and may crash if you click on something while it's "thinking", which isn't apparent as it doesn't say, "working" or similar.
Summary
Not as complex as GoldWave, which I am forced to use for larger operations, such as "cuts", etc, but, for the most part, it is very easy to use, and I prefer it to GW's more complicated, and, sometimes, confusing interface. I heartily recommend this for the amateur, occasional, audio editor, who doesn't need all the bells-and-whistles.

"One Heck of a GREAT FREEWARE"
Version: Wave Editor 3.0.0.1
Pros
Great & Excellent 4 NOMoney. Simple and basic GI. colors and also menu icon resolutions can be enhanced. I used this to tailor my mp3 ringtones for my blackberry which plays very loud and now i dont need to give myself and folks heart attacks.
Cons
If you try to amplify or de-amplify when playing it crashes. Undo feature can only go one step backward. NO loop feature. Same goes when you try file> close while playing. Dont try anything other than hit stop button and then do your tricks.
Summary
I like this product and give 10 out of 5 stars for an honest product. Yes I meant 10... Remains to be seen what improvements come out this review if the company is watching
Upon further usage of features;

Amplify Higher volume distorts and introduces crackle.. De-applify just muffles it....
Harmonics are lost... Wave form volume modification NOT recommended in this software
