• High-quality remake of an everlasting Amiga-Classic

  Summary

  "Warblade" is the PC-version of an old Amiga-classic called 'Galaga Deluxe'. It may look simple and it may look like "just another space-invader clone" but that's far from the truth. In the PC-version (Warlbade) there's also a profile-system, so that's how you start off playing the game. You create a profile who will store and provide you with both trivial facts and more important features of your profile. (Will get back to this later) The controls are simple, but effective and responsive; Control the ship left and right with the arrows, and shoot with a user-defined button and send out rockets with another. Anyway to explain this game, it's a game where you have levels 1-100. Your object is to stay alive, kill monsters and get as much points as possible. Your ship has three attributes which can be improved. Speed. Bullets. And "time". (This affects duration of powerups that you collect) As you keep playing, getting better scores, getting better achievements it gets stored in your profile, and your ship gets improved for your next game. (This 'progress' is permantently stored in your profile) Anyway the game offers great simple shoot'em up fun, but at the same time has alot of depth. Just to mention some things; Your score when shooting an alien improves the earlier you kill it. If you kill one before it gets inplace, you get a bonus score. The game has afew mini-games such as the memory station and meteor-storm. In meteor-storm the object is to survive without colliding with any meteors and if you have a quick ship and decent piloting skills, you can balance the ship's acceleration to get to the finish-line with full throttle for more than 95% of the meteorstorm and recieve great bonuses. It's hard to EXPLAIN why this game is so great. You should just try it out for yourself and explore it some. I have more than 80 ingame hours in this game, and I am far from achieveing everything I want to achieve ;)

  Great Graphics, Weapon upgrades, secrets to find, put in your own music, what's not to like. Galaga-like game with a modern look and feel. You won't be able to stop playing.

• AMAZING, ADDICTIVE, FUN !!!

  Warblade is the definitive Galaga. Addiction to something as fun as this is an addiction you don't need to be cured of. 100 levels of blasting, learning secrets, buying upgrades, earning rankings, submitting online scores, playing mini games, unlocking new shop items and ranks, extensive profiles, save games, mini bosses and GIANT bosses, flashy explosions, multiple music packs and voice sets. ITS ALL HERE and it doesn't get any better anywhere else. Remember, its addictive. Make sure you have free time :)

  Pros

  The game lures you in with the Galaga type game play. Then you start building up your profile and unlocking secrets. Soon you are hooked and find that you have played for hours.

  Cons

  I sometimes don't like the fact that I don't have the time to play a long game. Oh I forgot, that's what the saves are for.
