CNET Editors' review
Find information about Web sites, domain names, and IP addresses with this very handy application. Visual WhoIs 2004's interface is simple, and displays a 3D world-map model. Enter the site's address or IP address, and the domain's geographic location will be clearly shown on the map. Additional information, such as organization and contact information and the name of the server, can also be accessed through the tabbed window. The feature for obtaining mail-server information is unavailable in the demo version, though no limitations are noted by the publisher for the 14-day trial. Any user curious about the locations and origins of Web sites will benefit from this easy-to-use application.Publisher's Description

"So easy to use, provides info quickly."
Version: Visual WhoIs 2004 1.5
Pros
Easy to set up and use. Doesn't take much room in memory.
Cons
I haven't seen anything bad about it yet.

"Easy to use"
Version: Visual WhoIs 2004 1.5
Pros
I am considering purchasing it due to the straight forward and intuitive interface.
Cons
Look and feel is somewhat outdated
Summary
I like what the tool gives me but didn't connect with the GUI. Hence, it is only a cosmetical change that I would hope for - otherwise, this is a great tool for the purpose of network analysis.

"Lightweight on memory; heavyweight on searching."
Version: Visual WhoIs 2004 1.5
Pros
Unlike Windows apps, Visual WhoIs 2004 is a powerful search program without all the heavy code. I totally give support thumbs up after my system crashed and they responded in less than 8 hours. Try that with Windows!

"Very handy application indeed!"
Version: Visual WhoIs 2004 1.5
Pros
I's very fun to browse the Internet and see where the servers are located into the world. I love it

"It works!"
Version: Visual WhoIs 2004 1.5
Pros
The fact that it actually works is great. I found Visual Route doesn't seem to load properly on an AMD64 chip and Neo Trace seems to have virtually died - so getting a visual trace route program that works is a relief.
